In many countries there is a global trend for academia and policymakers to jointly develop tools to improve the evidence for both politicians and policymakers. What these ambitions share is the creation of a “learning government”; a government that uses experiments and new technologies to develop evidence based policy interventions. STEPPS will deliver a global – non-governmental - network to help sharing such tools and improve them where possible. The goal is to share them both internationally and on national or local level.
STEPPS assembles policymakers, policy evaluators, academia, data scientists, knowledge mobilisers and governmental and parliamentary strategists. These parties are brought together to foster an international dialogue on building and disseminating evidence to stimulate the effectiveness of policies.
